I before E except most of the time

A spelling rule I was taught in school is 

"I before E except after C"

Research has now proved this rule to be nonsense. 

There are so many words that break the rule, 

its no longer taught in schools.

Remember this next time you run a feisty heist 

on a weird beige foreign neighbor.
