A New Way to Enjoy Camping

How many of you love camping? Well I do! Especially when you can stay in a hanging tent. Yup, that's right! A hanging tent! Check out this picture of a hanging tent.

Now staying in this tent would be awesome. You wouldn't have worry too much about animals attacking you or a flood. The only thing is that it costs around $8000 for one. Yea you would have to use this tent more than a 100 times to make it even worth it. If any of you have one of these, let's go camping!

Hiroshima

Last weekend, before I went to Fukuoka, I went to Hiroshima with my parents. It was my first time so I was really excited to go there. I visited Miyajima which was gorgeous. Some deer tried to steal my corn BUT I didn`t let such a thing happen!! Nooooobody eats my food even with cute teary eyes!!!
Oh! And I really struggled to book a hotel by the way! But one of my students told me NHK is shooting a popular drama in Hiroshima right now so all the fans are probably there too... fortunately I was able to find a hotel the day before I went there!

How much do soccer players really make?

Have any of you wondered how much money soccer players make? Some might think that they don't make much compared to baseball players, but they actually make a LOT of money. Let me share with you the salaries of some of soccer's best players!

Lionel Messi $52 million
David Beckham $50 million
Cristiano Ronaldo $46 million
Samuel Eto'o $37 million
Wayne Rooney $32.6 million

Now these numbers are a combination of their salaries and endorsements. Well they may not compare to some baseball players like Alex Rodriguez of the New York Yankees who makes around $30 million just on his salary. So for those of you hoping to become professional sports stars, you have a lot of incentive to become one!

Me too.

If someone says something affirmative
and the same is true for you,
then you say, "me too."

Example:
Friend: I like chocolate.
You (who likes chocolate): Me too!

If someone says something in the negative
and the same is true for you,
then you say, "me neither."

Example:
Friend: I don't like natto.
You (who hates natto): Me neither!

BUT!
Most people, even native speakers tend to say,

Friend: I don't like natto
You (who hates natto): Me too.

Even though it is wrong, so don't stress.
Native speakers don't always use perfect English.

chiiiiiiiiiizu!

Makes me smile!

Mmmm pudding....

Today is white day so I made a dessert
for my girlfriend this morning.
It is white chocolate and berry pudding.
I also made custard to go with it.
I like to cook but I don't often cook desserts
so I'm not very good at it.
(I tried a little bit before I left and I think it's OK)
I will have to wait until tonight to see what she thinks.

tonkatsu soba!

Yesterday I had tonkatsu soba! I had never tried it before! And I didn`t know you could have tonkatsu in a soup actually... Coz it is supposed to be crunchy so.. but it was really good! Even though I still prefer to soba on a plate and crunchy tonkatsu on another one...!

Why did the chicken cross the road?

Belly Putting???

For those of you who play and are having some troubles with your putting, here's a tool that you can use to help you out! Introducing the Belly Putter!

With the belly putter, it helps you to keep a smooth stroke throughout the whole putting stroke. It helps to keep your upper body from moving and helps to keep your arms from moving in weird directions as well. I haven't tried this yet, but I definitely (hopefully) will try this out soon. If any of you have tried this putter, let me know how it is and if it really has helped you improve your putting game.

Will not won't

Contractions are rather straight forward.
Can not = Can't
Do not = Don't
Should not = Shouldn't
etc
Just stick the two words together,
and replace the O in not with an apostrophe.
But what the heck is WON'T ???
Will not should become Willn't
Well, it is because will not was built from woll + not,
which assimilated to wonnot and then to won't.
The use of woll comes from the
Proto-Indo-European stem wel- or wol-,
reflected still in the German verb wollen: to will, desire, wish.

I promise if you haven`t tried them yet get yourself a ticket to Tokyo and Disney Sea and just give them a try! It may be the most expensive popcorn you've ever eaten but it's worth it! ^^
I wanna try the ones they sell in front of USJ too...
It may be nice to get some for the movie night!!!

How To Shut Someone Up

Imagine someone that just keeps talking and talking and talking. They never give you a chance to talk and the topic they are talking about is sooooo boring. Don't you just wish you could somehow shut this person up? Well, your wish just came true!

Welcome to Melrose

I have been watching a drama called Melrose Place lately. It is pretty old as it was first aired in 1992 but I used to love it when I was a child. So I decided to watch it again. And I love it! I mean I don`t like the never ending dramas but in that one the characters find out what`s going on pretty fast which makes it fun to watch! Recently they decided to make a new version of that successful drama but I looked at the trailer and it just didn`t make it for me! I"ll keep watching the original one!
Have you ever watched it or heard of it?

Dreams

I don't remember my dreams very often,
but when I do they are usually scary ones.
I think this is because the shock wakes me up.
But that is OK because I like NIGHTMARES!
I think they are fun!

Just the other day I had a good one.

I had to run across some thin ice to push a button,
if i didn't push the button many people would die.
(I know this doesn't make much sense but it was a dream)
I knew the ice would break but I thought I could just swim.
So I started to run and as I expected the ice broke.
I fell into the cold water and had just started to swim
when something grabbed my leg and pulled me under.
It was some sort of sea monster,
but I punched & kicked until it let me go.
As I swam back to the surface however,
I couldn't find the hole through which I had fallen,
the ice had closed over again & I was trapped!
I struggled to break through the ice but it was impossible.
Just as I was about to run out of breath I woke up!

Gasping. . . .
My brain had made my body think
I was drowning, that's incredible.
