Flowers

Yesterday in one of my classes I was asked about flowers. Being a boy I had no idea. To the student who asked (you know who you are) "Is this the one you were talking about アジサイ?" If so in English it is called a hydrangea. Sorry about that, flowers are not my area of expertise.

  1. Color of flower of hydrangea depends on acidity (pH) in the ground where it is. You can see red, blue or purple flowers. Make sure what is under the ground if one of them has a different color.

  2. I've heard about that Masa. It is really interesting. Is it a feature unique to the hydrangea flower or does it happen with other flowers too?

  3. Sorry, I don't know other examples, but I think it's possible. Because hydrangea flower turns color by accumulation of anthocyanin (dye). This system doesn't seem to be difficult.
