Sound a little odd

This was on a menu.

"Dinner special: 
Turkey $2.35, 
Chicken or beef $2.25, 
Children $2.00."

Can anyone tell me why it sound a little strange?

    That's right Masa.
    What they wanted to say was that the children's size meals were only $2. But what it sounds like is that they sell a meal made from children! Just like you said.
