Beach suggestions

I really want to go to the beach this summer and I planned to go to Shirahama. But do you know some other places where I could go? I was told about Tango which looks really nice but it seems hard to get there even by train... I also checked Okinawa but the 100,000 yen flight kind of dissuaded from going there at that particular time of the year! Any other recommendation???
