I'm just a medicine seller

I really loved this anime.
It's called MONONOKE,
and is about a medicine seller who hunts monsters.
The artwork is uniquely beautiful
and the stories are quite dark.

The TV series is a spin off from the last part
of a series called "Ayakashi: Classic Japanese Horror Tales."
(Which you should watch first, parts 9~11 BAKENEKO)
