the results of last weeks poll.
The correct answer (to the question which of the

(obviously because we all know that kittens
think about F1 racing all day derrr.)
All the other headlines were TRUE believe it or not.
So please take a moment to vote on this weeks poll,
it's a rather difficult decision this week.

Movie review!

Last weekend I went to see Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland 3D !!!!
It is so colorful and the effects are beautiful. Wonderland is a delight for the eyes! The story line is alright and it followed the older cartoon version nicely but the action never really took off. I was waiting and waiting for exciting things to happen but it never really did. That being said, I would definitely recommend this movie for kids!!

Have you seen it yet?? What did you think? Do you have any movie you would like to recommend?? Please post your comments :)

Everybody knows that the "NATIONAL ANIMAL"
of Australia is the Kangaroo. (That's easy)
But do you know the "NATIONAL ANIMAL"
of any other countries?
How about Japan, Canada & the United States?
You might be surprised!!!

Drum roll please...

Well I am surprised by the results of this weeks poll.
It seems that a shocking 50% of people
find "singing & rapping" the most difficult part of English!
WOW!!!
So in the future we will make sure to practice
a lot more "singing & rapping" in class
:p

Thinking backwards

PALINDROMES
are words that are spelt the same forwards
as they are backwards.....
Lets look at some simple examples...
Bob, level, madam, radar and race car are all palindromes.
Sometimes even a whole sentence can be a palindrome...
e.g "Was it a rat I saw?" "Step on no pets"
& "Damm it I'm mad!"
Can you think of any more examples of palindromes?

Drum roll please...

Well we had a very close win again on our poll question :
"When is St Patricks Day?"
The most popular answer was
"March 17th"
and it's also the right answer.
Thanks to everyone who voted.
Don't forget to vote on our new poll!

Photo of the Week!

This week's photo is the first photo of the week sent to us by a student!! We had a hard time deciding which photo to post because he sent us many great shots. Congradulations HIROSHI for being the photo of the week winner this week!! You can pick up your totally awsome prize here at the school anytime this week!

We will all have to ask Hiroshi for the story behind this funny photo!

For the birds.

What does this PROVERB mean?
"One swallow does not make it spring."

AHHHH CHICKENS!!!

Anyone like to hazard a guess at
what the IDIOM "Spring Chicken" means?
E.g "I'm no spring chicken anymore."

Twist and Shout

Try these EASTER TONGUE TWISTERS!

Busy bunnies bring blue baskets.
Each Easter, Eddie eats eighty eggs.

Riddle of the week

Why did the chicken cross the road?

Happy Easter!

Sunday was Easter! On Easter morning the Easter bunny comes and hides chocolate Easter Eggs around our house and leaves us an Easter basket full of other goodies. Usually families celebrate Easter by having a big Easter diner.

The kids really enjoyed themselves

Photo of the week!!

During Easter weekend in many English speaking countries children are taken to malls all over the country to have their photo taken with the one and only Easter bunny!!! As you can see this photo was obviously just a joke; aaawwweee the poor little guy hahaha.

Usually the Easter bunny looks all cute and fluffy, delivering chocolate Easter eggs for children to find Easter morning during an Easter egg hunt!!

Today is Good Friday

Good Friday, Holy Friday, Black Friday, or Great Friday; whatever you would like to call, it is today! It is a holiday observed by Christians to honor the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his Resurrection from the grave. Good Friday precedes Easter Sunday! In many English speaking countries, hot cross buns are eaten (Phil's favorite).

Sad to announce....

Hello RLE school members who read this blog.
We are sad to announce that we will no longer be writing the blog due to lack of interest from our teachers
(not to mention names or anything but his name starts with a capital P).
We have had a lot of fun over this last year, however
all good things must come to an end
.
Thank you to all of those who read and participated in our trivia, quizzes, polls, riddles and tongue twisters. Over and out.

APRIL FOOLS!!!!
Today is April 1st!
That means its April Fools Day!
Of course we are not actually going to stop writing this blog!
Did we trick you?
April Fools Day is a celebration of practical jokes, pranks, and tricks on our friends, family, co-workers, students, etc...
The aim is to embarrass the gullible
(people who are easily fooled and believe anything they are told).
No hard feelings I hope!
